Cross-Cultural Coaching
Coaching is at its best in the ‘Interpersonal Skills’ department. In today's global economy, collaboration across borders is the norm. Professionals at all levels interact with colleagues, business partners and clients on the other side of the world. When they travel abroad, they communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Fear of the unknown and non-familiarity with ways of doing business on the other side can negatively impact collaborative relationships.
‘Cross-cultural Coaching’ helps coachees conquer the fear of the unknown and open their minds and hearts to their counterparts in other locations. It reaffirms the belief that all human beings are one and have similar needs and wants. They are all motivated by higher goals and may also feel anxious in interacting with their counterparts abroad. The coach highlights the challenges coachees are likely to face and helps them discover appropriate behavioural changes required. The objective is to prepare the coachee to take on-the-spot decisions in business or social interactions in cultures
